Who Am I?

   My name is Daniel Leon, I am 22 years old. Born in Cali and raised in Iowa by my Salvadoran parents. I love to travel to see different sights and cultures I hope it's something I can do more in the future. I also like video games, movies, and music.

   Now I hear you asking "Why are you doing this?" Well, you see it's been a few interesting years. I graduated high school in May of 2020. Started my engineering degree online and that lasted about a year and a half before I dropped out. I hit my lowest point around that time, lost with no direction. That's when my dad suggested he and I take a trip to El Salvador to visit my grampa's coffee farm (Mom's side). I got to learn about a world I had never seen before. I got to see hard work, dedication, and hope.

   My grandpa started farming in the 80’s. My mom tells me stories of him staying days or weeks up at the farm protecting it and caring for it. 40 years later and sadly he has yet to see the yield he has wished for. After our trip, my parents and I were inspired and want to build it up and expand it so that hopefully he can see his precious coffee farm flourish in his lifetime. 

   My goal now is to see people all over the world enjoying his coffee, but I don't want to stop there, there are hundreds and thousands of coffee farmers like him that I want to help in the future. I also would like to start a coffee shop selling Salvadoran coffee and creating a space for people to get a taste of El Salvador. 

   TLDR: I am buying my grandpa's coffee and selling it in the U.S. to continue what he started.
